 American Honda Motor Co., Inc., has announced five of the first customers for its advanced new FCX Clarity hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicle and also provided details of the world's first fuel cell vehicle dealership network in the United States.  PUB, Singapore’s national water agency, and Optiqua Technologies, provider of optical biosensors for the water industry have signed an agreement for a joint collaboration on sensor technology. During a special meeting on 30 June 2008 with Richard Seeber, Member of the European Parliament, EWP has launched the initiative of Europe's Water Vision. An international gathering took a few hours to discuss about which message Europe should have regarding water and its use. The vision for 2030, is that ‘Europe should have achieved sustainable water management and universal access top modern and safe water supply and sanitation because we value water in all its dimensions - in its economic, social, environmental and cultural importance'. »» 1 comment(s)

The European Commission is participating in Expo Zaragoza 2008 (Spain), devoted to "Water and Sustainable Development". EU institutions have been brought together in a common pavilion and invited to prepare information days on their respective fields related to the theme of this International Expo. 
AquaFed, the International Federation of Private Water Operators, have contributed to the 2008 edition of the Global Corruption Report. This report was produced for the first time as a collaboration between Transparency International and the WIN. It was published on 26th June 2008 and focuses this year on corruption in the water sector.
